This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) sets out the rules for using There247 (“There247”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
This Policy forms part of the There247 Terms of Service. By using the service, you agree to comply with this Policy.
1. Purpose
There247 is designed to assist businesses in handling inbound calls, capturing enquiries, and supporting follow-up.
This Policy ensures the service is used safely, lawfully, responsibly, and as intended.
2. Prohibited Uses
You must not use There247 for any of the following purposes.
2.1 Sensitive or Restricted Information
You must not intentionally or unintentionally use There247 to collect, store, or process sensitive or special category personal data, including:
- medical or health information
- legal, privileged, or confidential advice-related information
- financial or identity-sensitive data, such as bank details, credit card information, or identity documents
- emergency, urgent, or life-critical communications
- information relating to children where special protections apply
The service must not be relied upon for emergency, urgent, or time-critical communications.
2.2 Illegal, Deceptive, or Harmful Activity
You must not use There247 to:
- engage in illegal, deceptive, fraudulent, or harmful activity
- mislead or impersonate individuals or organisations
- represent the AI assistant as a human, employee, licensed professional, or emergency response service
- violate privacy, data protection, telecommunications, consumer protection, or other applicable laws
2.3 Abuse of Callers
You must not use the service to:
- harass, threaten, pressure, or abuse callers
- manipulate, deceive, or exploit callers
- collect unnecessary personal information
- create misleading impressions about your business, services, availability, prices, or response times
2.4 System Abuse
You must not:
- generate spam or unsolicited communications
- use excessive, abnormal, or system-impacting call volumes
- attempt to scrape, extract, or reverse engineer system outputs
- interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- use the service to benchmark, train, or build competing systems
- extract AI outputs at scale
- attempt to bypass usage limits, security controls, or access restrictions
3. Responsible Use Requirements
You must:
- inform callers that calls may be handled by AI and may be transcribed or summarised
- use the service only for legitimate business purposes
- ensure staff use the system appropriately
- avoid collecting unnecessary personal information
- follow guidance provided in the Customer Disclosure Pack
- keep contact details, call forwarding settings, and notification recipients accurate
4. AI Use Limitations
You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated responses may be imperfect, incomplete, or incorrect
- the service is not a substitute for professional advice
- the service must not be used for emergency or life-critical decision-making
- you are responsible for all outcomes from use of the service
5. Monitoring, Detection, and Enforcement
We may monitor usage to ensure compliance with this Policy.
We may use automated systems to detect misuse, unusual activity, excessive usage, or activity that may create risk for There247, customers, callers, or third parties.
If we believe this Policy has been breached, we may:
- issue warnings
- restrict features or usage
- suspend access immediately, with or without notice
- terminate your account
- preserve relevant records for investigation
- take other appropriate action
We may act immediately, without prior notice, where we believe there is risk to the service, other users, callers, third parties, or There247.
6. Investigation and Cooperation
You agree to cooperate with any investigation into suspected misuse of the service.
This may include providing information reasonably required to understand or resolve the issue.
7. Reporting Issues
If you become aware of misuse, abuse, security concerns, or inappropriate use of the service, you should report it to There247 support.
8. Updates
We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
